      One of John Dolby's daughter Hannah married one of the seven sons of Henry Rigby of Bayside, five miles out of St Andrews. Among the six children which she bore to Edward Hitchings Rigby was her eldest son Arthur Roy who in one of the early tasks taken on by the new family from England was looking after the poorhouse and its residents.
