    • We know that Mary Pomeroy m Daniel Grant, Francis Pomeroy and Joseph Pomeroy are siblings. A 1709 deed calls John Pomeroy the only son of John and Mary Pomeroy, thus neither Joseph nor Francis could be a son, as they were both living at that time.

      John Pomeroy does not belong to the family of the well documents immigrant Eltweed Pomeroy. Eltweed's son John d Windsor, MA 1647, and no second son John was been found. Eltweed is said to have had only 8 children, all of whom are accounted for.       John Pomeroy House. This lot was assigned in 1667 to Norton of Salem, house carpenter, who married a daughter of Elder Samuel Sharp, this being a portion of the Sharp field. Mr Norton sold it, with the house, to John Pomeroy of Salem, mariner 4 October 1674. The house was gonve 16 December 1709, when Mr Pomeroy's widow Mary, then wife of John Foster, and her only son, John Pomeroy, conveyed the lot to Lewis Hunt.
