      (33) A Jesse Woodward referred to as a "young man" is listed in III. He is probably the son of Jesse and Mary Woodward referred to in note 34. There is a question as to which Jesse Woodward is referred to in that note.
      (34) See also note 33. According to Jones, Loyalists of New Jersey p 246, he came from Upper Freehold Township in Monmouth County, New Jersey, and joined the British forces at Trenton. In the Selections from the Corespondence of the Executive of New Jersey from 1776 to 1786 (Newark, 1848) p 51-52, there is an account of his examination by the colonial forces at Allentown, PA, 10 April 1777. He was disowned by Chesterfield Monthly Meeting 9/4/1777 for having been active in military affairs. Chesterfield Monthly Meeting, Minutes 1756-1786, pp 418, 423
      (67) He was disowned by Chesterfield Monthly Meeting 1/1/1778 for going into military service. Chesterfield Monthly Meeting, Minutes 1756-1786, pp 418 432. An Anthony Woodward is listed in II, possibly the same person.
