John Boyington, said to have been a son of a David, was born "somewhere" about 1743. Temperance Hogden born near Portsmouth, NH in 1737. They were married 18 October 1765. He died in Jefferson 29 January 1820 ae 77. She died in Jefferson 4 March 1840 ared 102 years 6 month. They went to Wiscasset to Puddleduck (now Alna), where two children were born, and the eldest died. From there they removed to a place called Ballstown (now Jefferson) then a wilderness, and settled at the head of Pleasant Pond. His brother David settled in Jefferson with him.
