21 February 1811 Esther Johnson was married
3 February 1819 3 Day of this mo. Sally Tuttle wife of Elijah Tuttle, Jr deceased in the evening was buried the 6th
1 September 1823 1 Day of this mo my honored father Elijah Tuttle deceased about 6 o'clock morning.
6 December 1823 James Tittle deceased [his brother] deceased about half past eleven in the evening buried the 9th.
9 October 1831 Esther Tuttle deceased buried 11th
20 April 1839 I James Tuttle moved from the Wingate house so called in Madbury to Hurd Twombly's which his son John lived in
18 October 1841 I James Tuttle & Nath'l Montgomery moved the bones of our sons in our graveyard at Strafford Ridge

3 December 1842 3 Day of this month my beloved wife was buried in the afternoon s James Tuttle
13 September 1844 Carried my wife to 3 different places [apparently James Tuttle has remarried, though it is not reflected in the Journal]
16 September 1844 Carried my wife to her brother Arthur Atwoods about 7 miled above Meredith Ridge
26 May 1850 James Tuttle died and was buried the 28th
26 January 1852 [Written by his son Daniel C Tuttle] In the morning Father had a bad spell and had Dr Palmer and he stayed all night and saw that he was troubled with heart complaint and said he was liable to die any minute.
He died the 6th Feb and was buried the 9th in his burying ground at the Ridge. The funeral was at the Academy [Austin Cate Academy, Strafford Ridge] Sermon by Elder Hersy, Pittsfield.
