William Carr in his military file is said to be from Balltown, Newcastle and Prospect. So it is not unreasonable to think that the William Carr in Balltown 1777 and in Frankfort/Prospect is the same. However, if you take into account the William Carr who married Lois Speed in Newcastle, the fact that the widow Mrs Lois Carr remarried in 1785, the connection becomes murkier. The 1777 marriage record give William Carr's residence as Dyer's Pond [Balltown].
