      Annie Caroline Johnson, 66, of St. Stephen, N.B. died on January 14, 1923 at the hospital in Fredericton, N.B.

      In the 1911 Canada Census, widow Annie Lawson, 54, born January, 1857, in N.B.was living in St. Stephen, N.B. with Ethel, 16, born January 1895; and Gordon, 12, born June 1898, both born in N.B.

      In the 1901 Canada Census, physician John J. Lawson, 48, born April 8, 1852, in N.B, was living on Grand Manan island, N.B. with Annie, 41, born January 14, 1860; G. Ernest, 22, born March 30, 1879; Harry B., 17, born August 29, 1883; Walter C., 12, born February 1, 1889; Ethel L., 7, born January 11, 1894; and Gordon R., 2, born June 1, 1898, all born in N.B.

      Gordon Redvers Lawson was born at North Head, Grand Manan, N.B.on June 1, 1898. His birth meant five of Annie's seven children were still living.

      In the 1881 Canada Census, doctor of medicine John J. Lawson, 29, born N.B., was living in Norton, N.B. with Anne C., 26; F. Ernest, 2; and a "not named" daughter who was three months old - born in December, all born in N.B.; and medical student George C. Upham, 24, born N.B.

      Annie's father married Annie Cunningham on August 15, 1868 in Sussex, N.B.

      Annie's mother Sarah died on April 24, 1867 in Grand Falls, N.B.

      d. Upham (Kings Co.) 29th ult., of diptheria, Sarah Susannah UPHAM, age 5 years 2 mos.; On 31st, William H.D. UPHAM, age 3 years 4 mos children of J. Cutler and Sarah E. UPHAM (RI) (Saint John, New Brunswick Courier, November 7, 1863)

      In the 1861 Canada Census, farmer Joshua C. Upham, 32, born N.B. was living in Upham, N.B. with Sarah E., 31; Annie C., 6; George C., 4; Sarah S., 3; William N.D., 1; and Andrew W., 13, all born N.B.

      Joshua Upham and Sarah Waterbury married on January 25, 1853 in N.B.

      Annie is the daughter of Joshua Cutler Upham and Sarah E. Waterbury.
