The Petition of the Inhabitants of a Plantation called Freetown in the County of Lincoln Humbly Sheweth
That Frankfort in the West side of Pownalborough in said County the place where the Courts of General Sessions of the Peace and Inferior Court of Common Pleas are now held is very near the western side of said County and quite remote from, By far the greatest Part of the Inhabitants of said County and that there are but two or three Houses near said Place in Which People who have necessary business at said Court can have lodgings and Entertainment so that a great part of the People during their necessary attendance on said Courts are much distressed for Necessaries and are oblidged to lodge on a floor or in Barns or sit all night by the fire during the whole stay at said Court.

Notes |
- Revolutionary War: 3 in MA SS for Edgecomb. Consistent for 1 person. More likely to be son.
Revolutionary War Land Bounty Pension: Nil
Maine at Valley Forge: Samuel Trask r Edgecomb, probably son
Balltown 1777: Nil
Census 1810: Nil as head of household. Not in the households of any apparent children
Edgecomb Assessmet 1791: Samuel Trask 1
Edgecomb Assessment 1791: Samuel Trask 1
Edgecomb Assessment 1792: Samuel Trask 1
French and Indian: See father
Lincoln County Probate: Nil
The Hallowell Trasks are not closely related.
Some suggest that the Samuel Trask m Mary Mason 1755 in Salem is the same. There is also a deed 1760 Elias Trask to Samuel Trask.
Some have m2 Lois Gove, but it is known that Dorcas outlived her husband.
In 1790, Moses Trask, Joseph Trask and Samuel Trask households are listed in succession. It is difficult to reconcile the individuals living in these households, and they may be a mixture of different families, all descendants of Samuel and Dorcas. John Dresser Davis m Lois Trask has not been found to be the head of household in any census, and any children they may have had could be in any of the three Trask households.
Children
According to death notice of wife Dorcas, there are 9 children.
Family record in Edgecomb gives 6 children
