      To the Hon Henry W Fuller Esqr Judge of Probate within and for the County of Kennebec
      James Bamford of Fayette in said County respectfully represents, That William Bamford late of said Town of Fayette died on the tenth day of July last seized and possessed of good & chattels, rights and credits, which ought to be administered according to Law;
      That there is no widow of said deceased & neither has he left any lawful children and your petitioner is next of kin to said deceased (say his eldest and only Brother) to who administration of said estate might agreeable to Law be granted, but owing to ill health should & does hereby decline the trust, but would like the liberty to recommend my eldest son John Bamford (for whom his uncle the deceased which being place full confidence) to be appointed administrator on said William's estate, & as in duty bound will ever pray
