- The Kellihers at Caragh Lake appear to be connected to one another.
1. Denis Kelliher m Bridget Buony Moriarty lived at Tullig Beg, adjacent to Glannagilliagh and Muingaphuca. John Kelliher, a grandson of Denis m Bridget moved to Muingcaphuc in the 1890s.
2. Patrick Kelliher m Mary Neil was living at Muingaphuca at the time of Griffith's Valuation, and he lived there until his death in 1895. He had 3 known children. Michael settled in Boston. Elizabeth apparently died as a child. Bridget disappeared, probably moving to the US. Perhaps she is the Bridget Kelliher, traveling with a Timothy Kelliher apparently a relative, to Boston in 1896.
3. When Patrick Kelliher died, his holding in Muingaphuca went to Timothy Kelliher m Mary Hogan.
It seems likely that Denis Kelliher, Timoth Kelliher and Patrick Kelliher are closely related, possibly brothers. These Kellihers don't appear to originally have been from the Caragh Lake area. No baptism records in the Killorglin records seem to be them. Perhaps they came from Glenbeigh.
