Penobscot Loyalist Timothy ROIX IROAX/ROAK/ROURKE
A Partial Identification
by: Karin E (Sherrard) Gower, Westbrook, Maine & Gerald F Gower, McLean, Virginia
Timothy Sr is recorded to have drawn farm lot #4 on Bocabec Cove and to have received town lot MI 2. John drew farm lot #26 on Oak Bay and received town lot MI 3. Timothy Jr drew farm lot #59 on the St Croix, but is said to have received no town lot. However, there is a mix-up in the recording of the distribution of the town lots as between Timothy Sr and Jr. A subsequent deed makes clear that it was Timothy Jr who received town lot MI 2.(1.) It is unclear why his father did not also receive a town lot.
