Jacob Remick. Kittery. Shipbuilder. +/- 37 in 1698-1699. 69 in 1729. Had wife Lydia by 1684. 2nd wife Mary by 1692. In 1695 linking his name with that of the notorious Alice (Hanscom) Metherill, who was about to have a child, his wife Mary furiously jealous, attacked Alice in the Hansom house, in spite of Jacob's attempts to restrain her. The deposition in the resulting case give much local information. Gran Jury 1690-1691, 1696, 1697, 1714; Jury 1696; selectman 1706, 1708, 1709, 1713; treasurer 1722-1727.
