In the Whitefield town records he is listed with
William White born Oct 10, 1761
Mary his wife born Dec 28, 1761
Joseph White born Oct 10, 1785
The Whites are from New Hampshire, probably Rockingham County. See below. They don't seem to be in Whitefield before 1810 census.

Is this David Johnson s David Johnson m Martha Carter r Fryeburg?

Is he David s David s Samuel Johnson m Lydia Remick? Perhaps he is the David Johnson listed in the Whitefield town records father of David Johnson b NH November 1800. Did David Johnson move to New Hampshire before disappearing? This David Johnson seems to be the same living in Whitefield in 1840, and with the family of Jesse Gray m Eunice Glidden in Montville in 1850 and 1860.
