While in Newington, she was a Board Member of the Committee on Aging and an active member of the Newington Senior Citizens Club. Her early career was with Southern New England Electric Company in Hartford, where she met her husband. Helen was also predeceased by her younger sister, Katherine Weiss, and younger brother, Thomas Moriarty, her grandson, Anthony Riccio, and great-grandchild, Ashley Cowles. She leaves her daughter, Joan, and her daughter-in-law and son, Lenore and John Riccio, all of Glastonbury.
