Deaths: Johnson: At Rolling Dam, Friday July 10, Mrs. Isabella Johnson, widow of David Johnson.
The passing of Mrs. David Johnson early in the morning of Friday July 10, removed one of Rolling Dam's oldest inhabitants. She was 87 years of age and although she had been ailing in health for a year, she contracted a cold which helped hasten the end. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Carroll of Elmsville and a member of the United Church at Rolling Dam. Her husband predeceased her by eleven years. She leaves to mourn two daughters Mrs George Chase of St. Andrews, and Mrs. Frank Eagan of Milltown, NB and five sons Albert, Beriah, Oscar, and Willard with whom she made her home, all of Rolling Dam and Herman of Lincoln, ME. One son Joseph died ten years ago. She also leaves a large number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was laid to rest at the Rolling Dam Cemetery beside her husband. Reverend William Armstrong of Lawrence Station delivered the burial sermon and the choir sang her favorite hyms "Asleep in Jesus," and "Abide with Me." Members of the immediate family acted as pall-bearers.
