Nearly four years later on 26 April 1783, a tax valuation for 9800 pounds for the town of Campbelltown, which had grown up around Fort George, lists 86 dwelling houses (some with stores, barns, or wharves attached), two groups of "Hutts" and one hospital. An inventory of the "Publick Buildings" taken 16 May 1784 counted only 36 dwellings, two wharves, and two store with the notation: "The Whole of the Brracks and Kings Store Houses are burnt."
